Advancing CAR T cell therapy for solid tumors

Description

This project aims to develop the first autochthonous solid tumor model targeted by CAR T cells to study and improve CAR T cell therapy efficacy against solid tumors, particularly lung cancer. The research includes testing novel therapeutic strategies such as tumor-directed radiotherapy, CAR T cell expansion, and gene editing with CRISPR/Cas9 to overcome the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The project is funded by NIH and involves collaboration with the NIH Office of the Director.
