Description
The project aims to develop allergen-specific IgE inhibitors (cHBI: covalent heterobivalent inhibitor) that target allergen-binding IgE, preventing recognition of the allergen and inhibiting allergic reactions before they start, without broad immune suppression. The approach involves synthesizing inhibitors that mimic immunodominant epitopes of allergens, such as house dust mite allergens, to block IgE recognition. This work is innovative because it offers a novel molecular design to inhibit key allergic response events, develops a physiologically relevant platform (nanoallergens), and has high potential for clinical translation.
