This project investigates how deacetylase Sirtuin 3 (SIRT3) influences mitochondrial metabolites to understand its role in preventing the progression from Metabolic dysfunction-associated Steatohepatitis (MASH) to Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC). The study uses mouse models and human samples to explore the molecular mechanisms and therapeutic potential of SIRT3-modulated choline/betaine metabolism.
