Description

This project investigates how adrenomedullin (AM) signaling affects implantation and placentation, and how environmental factors influence AM levels and pregnancy outcomes, using genetic mouse models and cell assays. Low maternal plasma AM levels are linked to pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction, gestational diabetes, and spontaneous abortion. The project aims to understand the role of AM signaling in reproductive success and identify therapeutic targets.
