Description
This project aims to investigate how Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) rewires cellular DNA replication to facilitate cancer cell proliferation instead of death, with a focus on identifying vulnerabilities that can be targeted via synthetic lethal approaches to treat EBV-driven HIV/AIDS-related lymphomas. The study will explore the role of ZC3H18 as a replication dependency factor upregulated by EBV, its interaction with MCM7, and how these factors contribute to the proliferation of EBV-positive lymphomas. The research will utilize ex vivo models and patient-derived samples to uncover mechanisms and identify druggable targets for therapy.
