NIH grant awarded to study the role of NRG3 in bone metastasis and its impact on cancer progression and therapeutic resistance, led by Dr. Igor Landry Bado at Mount Sinai.

Description

This project proposes to investigate Neuregulin 3 (NRG3) in the process of metastasis expansion from bone to visceral organs. The research aims to determine and characterize the NRG3 regulome induced in the bone microenvironment, identify NRG3 signaling pathways using genetic approaches, and assess the impact of NRG3 depletion on secondary metastasis. The study could uncover novel bone-mediated properties with high therapeutic potential.
