Research project investigating how taste nerves influence food choice and eating behavior to improve nutritional guidelines.
Description
This project aims to identify the role of individual lingual gustatory nerves in food choice and meal patterns, and how these nerves provide information that aids in the control of food intake. The study will use behavioral approaches and meal pattern analysis in rats with nerve transections to understand how sensory input affects nutritional regulation.
