NIH grant awarded to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center for research on cross-neutralizing antibodies against major respiratory viruses affecting stem cell transplant recipients, with a focus on antibody efficacy and resistance.

Description

This project studies the ability of cross-neutralizing antibodies to protect against four of the main respiratory viruses that cause severe disease in stem cell transplant recipients. The research aims to reveal how these antibodies work, help predict their success or failure in clinical use, and impact the design and testing of next-generation antibody candidates that can overcome resistance from viral evolution.
