Research funded by the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute to study the role of epicardial adiposity in ventricular tachyarrhythmias in obese donor human hearts, with the goal of improving prediction and treatment of these arrhythmias.

Description

This project uses a multimodal and multiscale approach to characterize how obesity induces ventricular arrhythmias in donor human hearts and aims to develop new markers to predict and treat ventricular arrhythmias clinically.
