NIH/NCI awarded $709,630 for research on novel treatments for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer using targeted internal radiation therapy combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors and oncolytic reovirus.
Description
This project aims to develop novel treatments for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) by combining oncolytic reoviruses, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and targeted internal radiation therapy (TIRT) using the sodium/iodide symporter (NIS). The research involves in vitro and in vivo studies, development of models, and analysis of tumor immune microenvironment responses.
