Description
This project aims to enhance the Biology curriculum at Spelman College by developing Genomic Data Science modules for introductory, intermediate, and upper-level courses. The initiative will equip students with skills to analyze and interpret genomic data, addressing health challenges such as genetic risk factors and precision medicine. The curriculum will leverage computational resources and databases, exposing students to biomedical questions from cancer to microbiomes. The project will involve five faculty members and a technician/teaching assistant forming a community of practice.
