Award to H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute for developing computational tools and spatial ecological models to study tumor heterogeneity and support NSCLC research.

Description

The Ecological Analysis Core will support the generation, investigation, and application of spatial ecological models and techniques to support two non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)-focused projects. The Core will manage, visualize, store, share, and analyze high-dimensional, high-resolution clinical and experimental histology images. It will develop computational approaches and frameworks to improve understanding and prediction of tumor behavior, leveraging spatial ecological models and mathematical models from the Mathematical Modeling Core. The goal is to understand the ecological and evolutionary ecology underlying tumor heterogeneity and guide new therapeutic strategies for lung cancer.
