Description
A randomized effectiveness-implementation hybrid trial to evaluate the Virtual Hope Box (VHB) app and its enhanced facilitation (VHB-EF) for suicide prevention among high-risk Veterans. The study will be conducted at two VHA inpatient mental health units, with 928 Veterans randomized to VHB-EF or Enhanced Usual Care. The project aims to assess the impact on suicide attempts, explore intervention mechanisms, and identify barriers and facilitators for future implementation. The project emphasizes scalability, safety, and potential integration into VA treatment guidelines.
