Research project to map synaptic components and presynaptic sources in brainstem vestibulospinal neurons using zebrafish models and advanced neuroscience techniques.

Description

This project aims to define the synaptic components underlying the corollary discharge in brainstem vestibulospinal neurons, measure how sensory signals combine with this discharge, and identify presynaptic sources. The research will be conducted in zebrafish, utilizing whole-cell recordings, anatomical mapping, optogenetics, and electron microscopy to produce a synaptic-resolution map of the brainstem.
