Description

The project aims to investigate the relationship between clonotypic/phenotypic diversity between tumors and lymphocytes in the context of cancer metastasis. It evaluates mechanisms of clonal and phenotypic selection and diversification of tumors and lymphocytes, identifying evolutionary mechanisms utilized by either compartment to evade or overcome the other. Insights from this study will provide an integrative model of tumor evolution and immune dysfunction during metastasis, informing the development of therapies that target these evasion mechanisms, such as by enhancing the diversity of the lymphocyte compartment.
