Description
This competing continuation of The Boston Older Americans Independence Center (Boston OAIC) builds upon a highly productive research nodal network of resources and extant collaborations among leading aging researchers from Boston area academic medical centers to foster translational research in function promoting therapies (FPTs) and reduce the burden of disabling functional limitations in older adults. The Leadership Administrative Core (LAC) is responsible for implementing, sustaining, evaluating, and reporting OAIC's progress towards its goals and enabling integration of OAIC activities. It provides administrative support, coordinates activities of investigators and resource cores, manages conferences and career development activities, and facilitates collaborations and commercialization efforts. The LAC maintains accountability, evaluates operations, and promotes translational research in aging.
