Description

This project aims to understand the role of phase separation in ALK fusion oncogenic signaling, define the protein architecture of ALK fusion protein granules, and identify key proteins involved. The goal is to develop mechanism-based therapeutic strategies to interfere with ALK protein granule assembly. The project focuses on the characterization of a new mechanism of oncogenic signaling involving biomolecular condensates in ALK-driven lung cancer and aims to develop molecular treatments that better control this cancer through improved precision medicine strategies.
