The award funds research to improve risk stratification and clinical management of Type B aortic dissection using advanced 4D flow MRI and AI analysis, aiming to develop new hemodynamic biomarkers and enhance clinical translation.

Description

This project aims to enhance risk prediction and clinical management of Type B aortic dissection (TBAD) through advanced MRI techniques and AI analysis. It involves developing a rapid, dual-VENC TBAD MRI protocol, performing baseline and 1-year follow-up 4D flow MRI in 100 acute TBAD patients, and finetuning AI-based analysis tools for clinical translation to improve understanding of hemodynamics in TBAD and provide new biomarkers for risk assessment.
