CEO - 1055 Building, Elevator #4 Door Operator Replacement

The County of Orange, through its OC Public Works department, awarded a construction contract to Specialized Elevator Services, LLC for the replacement of the door operator on Elevator #4 at the CEO - 1055 Building located at 1055 N Main St., Santa Ana, CA. The scope of work includes installation of a new GAL MOVFR closed loop door operator, new door tracks, car door hanger rollers, car door lock, car door restrictor device/assembly, car door clutch, and a new infra-red door protective device on car doors. Hall doors will receive new door tracks, hatch locks, reel type door closers, pick-up rollers/assemblies, new gibs, and door hanger rollers. The MCE controller system will have updated software installed, and one handheld programming device is included. The contractor will also replace the car side header and door operator structural mounting frame on the car top, mounting the new operator in the same location as the existing one. Existing car and hall door sills will be retained and cleaned. The contract amount is $74,369.00 with a period of performance of 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The MCE controller system will have updated software installed. The project includes replacement of car side header and door operator structural mounting frame on car top, mounting new operator in the same location, and cleaning/vacuuming existing car and hall door sills. Final finishes to doors and hall entrances are by others. Materials and tools will be stored in an assigned area in the building, with staging adjacent to the elevator shaft. The contract amount is $74,369.00 with a time allotment of 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm. Contractor must pay prevailing wage rates and submit certified payroll upon request.
