Description
This project aims to understand the biomechanical basis of right ventricular (RV) dysfunction and ventricular-arterial (V-A) uncoupling in pulmonary hypertension (PH). It focuses on the role of RV passive remodeling competing against contractile adaptation, developing non-invasive tools to estimate a stiffness-to-contractility ratio (SCR) for early identification of RV maladaptation, and determining the contributions of resistive and pulsatile afterload components. The study involves advanced imaging, deep learning, and biomechanical analysis to establish prognostic markers and improve early detection in PH patients.
