Description
The Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) submits this proposal on behalf of the Community College for Health and Safety Training (CCCHST) serving DOE environmental restoration and waste management sites at Oak Ridge, Portsmouth, Savannah River, Pantex, and Los Alamos. The goal is to provide OSHA-compliant worker training to DOE contractors and subcontractors, covering hazardous waste operations, decontamination, transportation, and environmental restoration. Over five years, CCCHST will train 17,500 workers through 250,000 contact hours, with annual online courses averaging 75. PETE will provide curriculum, record keeping, and quality control, supporting DOE-approved curricula and maintaining data for DOE and NIEHS.
