This NIH grant supports research on the role of Pf bacteriophage in antibiotic tolerance and as a biomarker for managing chronic Pseudomonas airway disease in cystic fibrosis patients.
Description
The project evaluates Pseudomonas aeruginosa antibiotic tolerance mediated by its bacteriophage Pf and the potential of Pf as a predictive biomarker for response to antibiotic therapy in cystic fibrosis patients. It aims to provide mechanistic insights to guide therapy in treatment of Pa associated CF pulmonary disease.
