Description
The loss of endogenous tumor suppression is an obligatory step towards cancer, but the mechanisms are elusive. Parkin functions as a unique dual mode tumor suppressor, inhibiting intrinsic tumor traits of cell motility and metabolism while also reprogramming an antitumor immune microenvironment. The proposed studies will elucidate the cellular and molecular requirements of Parkin innate immunity in cancer and uncover novel strategies to improve the response to immunotherapy in advanced disease patients.
