Description

This project aims to understand how maternal infection and inflammation during pregnancy influence fetal thymic development of gamma delta T cells, and whether these effects have long-lasting impacts on gamma delta T cell function in offspring. The study will utilize a mouse model and single-cell proteogenomics workflows to delineate the effects of maternal immune activation on thymic gamma delta T cell transcriptional and epigenetic landscapes, mechanisms involved, and the impact of placental-tropic viral infections.
