Description

This study aims to test whether sleep duration affects vaccine immunogenicity in adolescents aged 11-12 receiving the meningococcal vaccine. Participants will be assigned to either short sleep (7 hours) or healthy sleep (10 hours) for 7 nights, with antibody titers measured before vaccination, and 1 week and 1 month after. The primary hypothesis is that adolescents with healthy sleep will show a greater increase in antibody titers post-vaccination. Secondary measures include subjective side effects, with the expectation that the healthy sleep group will report fewer side effects. The study also explores moderators such as biological sex and examines mechanisms via biobanking serum and blood samples.
