Award to University of New Mexico for developing and validating a computerized adaptive test for Alcohol Use Disorder mechanisms to improve diagnosis and treatment.
Description
This project aims to develop a reliable, valid, and efficient computerized adaptive assessment of dimensional Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) mechanisms grounded in contemporary theory and informed by individuals with lived experience. The work involves empirical testing of modern conceptual AUD etiological frameworks, deriving a mechanism-based computerized adaptive test (CAT), and validating it through ecological momentary assessment and follow-up studies. The goal is to improve diagnosis, tracking, and treatment of AUD, supporting NIH strategic goals.
