Description
This project aims to assess cochlear dysfunction related to hypertension and racial differences, using high-frequency DPOAEs, to develop early diagnostic protocols and improve intervention strategies. The research focuses on adults aged 18-85 with normal blood pressure or Stage 2 hypertension, examining cochlear function and racial differences between Black and White adults. The goal is to inform clinical tools for early identification and intervention of auditory dysfunction associated with modifiable determinants of acquired hearing loss.
