Description
Research focused on how cells organize internal membranes to assemble molecular signaling complexes for proper information processing, with emphasis on lipid composition of cellular membranes and its role in diseases and pathogen life cycles. Development of molecular tools to manipulate and monitor subcellular phosphatidylinositol 3,5-bisphosphate (PI(3,5)P2), study of sorting nexin 10's role in lysosomal ionic homeostasis, and investigation of plasma membrane recruitment of PI4KA by EFR3.
