Description

Lane County Department of Health & Human Services is seeking to fund one provider for light touch Rapid Rehousing and Homeless Prevention assistance for veterans who are homeless, at-risk of homelessness, or unstably housed. Rapid rehousing services enable households to obtain permanent housing when they are currently homeless. Funds under the Rapid Rehousing component are intended to be supplemental funds supporting homeless veterans to cover costs ineligible through other veteran programs (e.g., HUD-VASH recipients in need of a security deposit or move-in costs; application fees; client direct services; rental/utility arrears for SSVF participants; program participants between 50-80% Area Median Income), which are often barriers to permanent housing. Homeless Prevention services aim to prevent homelessness for veterans when household housing status is at imminent risk of homelessness or unstably housed, and to assist the household in remaining in their current housing.
