Description
The project aims to characterize the pathophysiologic response to exercise in chronic severe pulmonary hypertension and right ventricular failure (PH-RVF). Using a high-fidelity sheep model, the team will study changes in exercise tolerance and capacity, then develop a durable, wearable mechanical cardiopulmonary support system (pulmonary assist device, PAD) to improve patient outcomes.
