Description

This project aims to provide national estimates of the burden of multi-morbidity across adulthood, analyze the progression from one chronic disease to multi-morbidity, and examine how these trajectories contribute to health disparities. The study will combine multiple national cohort datasets to create a synthetic cohort starting at age 30, estimate age-specific progression rates, develop measures of risk, and analyze disparities across major demographic groups. The findings will inform clinical practice, healthcare guidelines, and policy, and the resulting data infrastructure will be made available for further aging-related research.
