Description
This project aims to examine the molecular mechanisms by which cisplatin induces foam cell death and plaque instability in vivo, and to assess the therapeutic potential of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in preventing cisplatin-induced acute coronary syndrome (ACS). The study involves in vitro analysis of necroptosis activation in macrophage foam cells treated with cisplatin, and in vivo experiments using LDL receptor knockout mice on a high-fat diet subjected to low-dose cisplatin injections, evaluating plaque vulnerability and effects of an oral H2S donor, SG1002.
