Description

The project aims to address the challenge of distinguishing indolent from aggressive prostate cancers through biomarker development. It proposes to apply proteogenomic discovery approaches to identify and validate molecular features in prostate fluids and tissues for early detection and risk stratification of aggressive prostate cancer. The project includes validating urine-based biomarkers, developing biomarkers for MRI-invisible high-grade lesions, and sub-stratifying risk associated with BRCA2 variants. The activities involve developing robust assays, decision algorithms, and participating in trans-network collaborations to share data and foster talent in biomarker research.
