Research project to study differences in unintended pregnancies by sexual orientation and state policy contexts, aiming to identify high-risk subgroups and inform policies to improve pregnancy outcomes.
Description
The proposed research will quantify sexual orientation-related differences in unintended pregnancies and adverse perinatal outcomes, and identify particular subgroups (i.e., by demographics and geography) who are at particularly high risk of these outcomes. There is a high potential for public health impact because the proposed research is an essential next step towards identifying particular policies or intervention targets to promote health and wellbeing and improving pregnancy outcomes for all.
