Description

Sneathia vaginalis is a member of the human normal flora of the vagina and a human pathogen associated with preterm birth, amniotic fluid infections, HPV infection, and cervical cancer. This project aims to identify surface proteins of Sneathia vaginalis that mediate host cell adhesion using mass spectrometry and genetic deletion strains to understand its commensal and pathogenic interactions with the host.
