The award supports development and validation of advanced single-cell long-read sequencing technologies to study alternative splicing in cancer cells, aiming to improve cancer molecular profiling and precision oncology.
Description
This project aims to enhance and validate technologies that can comprehensively detect alternative splicing at the single-cell level in cancer cells, making these methods reliable and widely accessible for cancer researchers. The project will build and validate enhanced tools for single-cell long-read isoform transcriptomics, address shortcomings of current approaches, validate with orthogonal methods, demonstrate robustness across tumor types, and develop open-access data sharing and visualization tools to accelerate translation of splicing biology into clinical applications for precision oncology.
