Award for research on high-resolution lipid imaging in traumatic brain injury using advanced SIMS technology to study cell death mechanisms and develop targeted therapies.

Description

This project aims to optimize and apply revolutionary multi-omics imaging technology based on secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) to achieve high-resolution, simultaneous imaging of lipids, proteins, and metabolites in brain tissues. The goal is to identify cell types involved in ferroptosis, a regulated cell death process driven by lipid peroxidation, and to develop targeted therapies for traumatic brain injury (TBI).
