Description
This project aims to develop, validate, and pilot test a patient-centered Decision Support Tool (DST) to promote PrEP persistence post Emergency Department/Urgent Care (ED/UC) care. The DST will assist PrEP eligible persons to identify their HIV risk, promote self-efficacy, and provide support for social determinants of health needs. The study will be conducted with 120 PrEP eligible patients at two EDs and one urgent care in Baltimore and Washington, DC, measuring outcomes such as 4-month PrEP persistence, linkage to care, initiation, and adherence.
