Award to BECKMAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE/CITY OF HOPE for advanced genomics and bioinformatics research focused on glioblastoma, providing clinical and preclinical genomic profiling and data analytics to support precision medicine.
Description
The U19 Molecular Profiling and Bioinformatics Core (Core B) will provide state-of-the-art genomics and bioinformatics technology and expertise to advance each of the projects in the City of Hope U19 program. Core B will deliver CAP-certified, CLIA-approved exome and transcriptome sequencing that returns data for patient care decision-making. It bridges bench discovery of molecular determinants of glioblastoma vulnerability to clinical applications, aiming to benefit patients through precision medicine. Core B will provide comprehensive genomic profiling for clinical trial patients, genomic sequencing of preclinical models, and single cell/nuclei transcriptomic analyses of harvested cell infiltrates. It will identify signatures of vulnerability to evaluated agents, analyze exome and transcriptomic data to modify susceptibility, and develop a signature for GBM vulnerability to combination therapies. Additionally, Core B will offer advanced bioinformatics and data analytics, including machine learning, to maximize data utility and foster collaboration across the GTN.
