A research project funded by the National Institute on Aging to perform whole genome sequencing and admixture analyses on diverse populations to study neuropathologic traits related to Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
Description
This project aims to generate whole genome sequencing (WGS) data from diverse populations including individuals of African, European, Native Brazilian, and admixed ancestries. The study will perform admixture mapping, analyze telomere length, and investigate mitochondrial DNA associations with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) traits.
