Description
This project aims to evaluate the feasibility, acceptability, and impact of a self-concept reinforcement intervention in young African American children to improve behavioral health and literacy outcomes. The intervention is based on the Reach Out and Read program and will be implemented in clinics affiliated with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. The project includes qualitative and quantitative assessments and structural equation modeling to understand mechanisms of impact.
