The Metropolitan District awarded the operation of a Household Hazardous Waste and CESQG Waste Collection Program to a licensed hazardous waste management firm to conduct approximately ten one-day collection events per year across multiple towns in Connecticut.
Description
The MDC plans to operate a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) Hazardous Waste Collection Program at an estimated ten locations throughout the District and one in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. The Metropolitan District will administer and act as coordinator for the Household Hazardous Waste and CESQG Waste Collection Program which will encompass all eight of its member towns: Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor as well as additional towns which choose to contract with the District. Each Household Hazardous Waste Collection shall be conducted as a one-day event. The District is requesting proposals for the operation of this Program from licensed hazardous waste management firms. The District anticipates ten collections per year, however this number is not guaranteed.
