Fluorosilicic Acid - TC

The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, through its Purchasing Division, awarded a one-year term contract for Fluorosilicic Acid to Univar Solutions USA LLC and Pencco, Inc. The contract supports potable water treatment at the city's water treatment plants, with an estimated annual usage of 150,000 pounds of 23% solution strength Fluorosilicic Acid, meeting NSF/ANSI Standard 60. The products must be delivered in bulk tankers constructed of stainless steel or specially lined, meeting US DOT specifications, to the Ouachita Water Treatment Plant and Amity Water Treatment Plant. Deliveries are scheduled within five working days of order, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT. The awarded vendors are responsible for unloading, providing all necessary equipment, and including certificates of analysis, MSDS, and weight tickets with each shipment. The contract includes provisions for spill containment, price escalation approval, and compliance with federal and state regulations. The contract is subject to annual budget approval and automatically renews unless a 30-day written cancellation notice is provided.

Description

The City of Hot Springs, Arkansas, is accepting bids for a Term Contract (TC) to purchase Fluorosilicic Acid on behalf of the Utilities Department. This fluorosilicic acid will be used as a direct additive in the potable water treatment process at the water treatment plant facilities. The contract will be for one (1) year with four (4) twelve (12) month terms, subject to annual budget approval by the Hot Springs Board of Directors. Contract will automatically renew annually unless either party supplies a thirty (30) day written Notice of Cancellation. The awarded supplier is responsible for delivery and unloading of the chemical in bulk quantities to specified water treatment plants.
