This award supports research to overcome drug resistance in acute myeloid leukemia by studying molecular resistance mechanisms and identifying effective treatments using advanced profiling techniques.

Description

Most leukemia patients eventually succumb to their disease due to resistance to both conventional chemotherapy and innovative targeted therapy. To understand the molecular basis of resistance, phenotypic data will be integrated with genotypic abnormalities identified through unbiased approaches. The project aims to identify effective treatments for drug-resistant leukemia models using dynamic BH3 profiling to measure cell death readiness in response to drug therapies.
