Description
The Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) is the state agency responsible for representing the Hawaiian Islands around the world and for holistically managing tourism in Hawaiʻi in a sustainable manner consistent with community desires, economic goals, cultural values, preservation of natural resources, and visitor industry needs. The HTA is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide professional services for the planning and development of the content, storytelling, trail framework, visitor orientation, physical and digital participation materials, and community and business participation components of a visitor-facing Hilo Urban Trails Project. This project aims to improve visitor orientation, support walkable and multimodal exploration, strengthen place-based understanding, and encourage engagement with local businesses, cultural and historical institutions, community assets, and public spaces in greater Hilo.
