Description

This project aims to engineer new optics to improve spatiotemporal resolution and enable researchers to probe multiple simultaneous cellular phenotypes within the 3D architecture of tissue microenvironments using advanced lightsheet microscopy techniques. The research will develop large volume hyperspectral lightsheet microscopy capable of imaging 12+ fluorophores at 300 nm XYZ resolution, a next generation lightsheet microscope for seamless organ to cellular level imaging, new sample scanning strategies, autofocus routines for prolonged imaging, and a lattice lightsheet fluorescence microscope with adaptive optics for live cell imaging.
