West Jordan City awarded a contract for the Calsense Central Irrigation Control System and Backflow Replacement Project to improve water efficiency and replace backflow prevention devices at multiple sites, with project completion by April 1, 2020.

Description

West Jordan City is seeking bids from qualified irrigation contractors for the Calsense Central Irrigation Control System Controllers and Backflow Replacement Project at various locations. The objective of the City is to convert various properties in the City to the Calsense Central Irrigation Control System to utilize water resources more efficiently. This project also incorporates the replacement of double check valve backflow prevention devices. The objective of this portion of the project is focused on replacing double check valve backflow prevention devices into compliance with current codes and regulations. The separate elements of this project have been combined into one bid because ten sites require both elements to be performed. On the sites that require the installation of both elements, it is the City's desire to complete the projects simultaneously to capture cost savings on the project. The backflow replacement portion of this proposal is to be completed prior to the Calsense Central Irrigation Control System portion of the project. The entire project shall be completed on or before April 1, 2020.
