Description

Fresno Unified School District is soliciting RFQ No. 22-09 to prequalify vendors for extended learning services on an annual basis, focusing on grade-specific academic skills, literacy, and math through real-world experiences outside of the regular school day. The contract term is for a 1-year period with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. Vendors provide nurturing daily opportunities for building grade level specific academic skills with an intentional focus on applied literacy and/or math through real-world student-centered experiences outside of the regular school day. The RFQ establishes a list of prequalified vendors that may be used for enrichment services needed throughout the year. More than 40 qualified vendors provided summer camp programs during Summer 2022 offering spaces for up to 11,000 students at a cost of $4,600,000. With the addition of approved vendors, more than 60 unique summer camp programs are anticipated in July 2023 at a projected cost of more than $6,000,000. Purchase orders for services provided by approved vendors are presented to the Board for ratification on monthly reports. Funding is available through the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program. Vendors are required to provide their own staff to run programs. Programs are in-person only, outside of regular school day (afterschool, weekend, summer, winter).
