Description
This project aims to build a research consortium across Ghana, Tanzania, and Congo to study Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) using low-cost, scalable methods suitable for resource-limited settings. The project involves establishing infrastructure, training, and longitudinal data collection from approximately 2,900 participants over three years, including digital phenotyping via smartphones and biospecimen collection. The goal is to identify genetic, biological, and environmental risk factors to advance precision prevention and treatment strategies.
