NIH-funded research project studying whether MRE and ASL can improve localization of seizure foci and support surgical planning for people with drug-resistant epilepsy.

### Description

The project evaluates magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) and arterial spin labeling (ASL) as imaging markers to localize and characterize epileptic foci in drug-resistant epilepsy, including patients without visible lesions. It will investigate brain biomechanics and perfusion in patients and healthy controls and correlate imaging findings with glial activation and histopathology.
